Founder, Bobby Jo Hamm, a registered nurse from Sisseton, SD, created Tandem Healthcare from her passion to care for the elderly and the aging population.

Tandem strives to deliver quality care in the comfort and privacy of an individual’s own home. Bobby Jo saw the desire of people in the rural community to stay in their homes longer and to stay engaged and connected with their community. She is committed to providing a new way of care. Tandem works diligently to ensure our individuals spend their golden years receiving the highest level of care while maintaining independence and comfort.

Bobby Jo and her husband, Joey, have five children and live in Sisseton. Nursing is her passion, and she has more than 26 years of experience in long-term care. She began her journey as a certified nurse aide, eventually becoming a registered nurse.

Tandem Healthcare, Inc. was created out of Bobby Jo’s passion for nursing, based on her real-world experiences both clinically and in management.

Joslin Peterson (Nelson) is a Platte native who graduated from high school in 2013. She is married to Kaden Peterson, and together they have two young children, Kamren (3) and Lena Jo (8 months). Deeply connected to her small-town roots, Joslin is passionate about bringing Tandem Healthcare to the community as a valuable resource for families.

Joslin’s career in healthcare began in long-term care when she returned to her hometown. She earned her CNA certification in 2015, followed by her LPN diploma in 2018, and completed her RN degree in 2023. Her extensive experience reflects her commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care. She takes pride in helping individuals remain in the comfort of their own homes while offering peace of mind to their families.

Outside of work, Joslin enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, golfing, and visiting the scenic Black Hills. She is excited to build meaningful relationships and support the health and independence of clients in her community.
